Blood Work - psychological thriller!!

Having exhausted Jeffrey Deaver and James Patterson, to feed my never ending appetite for thrillers I have resorted to Michael Connelly. With "Blood Work" he has surpassed both Patterson and Deaver. Most surprisingly such a good book has been made into a movie but i have never heard of it earlier. In case you didnt know Clint Eastwood plays Terry Mccaleb the protagonist. The story begins with Terry Maccaleb a retired FBI agent who is recovering from a heart transplant. He receives a call from Graciela Rivers who wants him to investigate the shooting of her sister at a store. When he refuses she prods with the fact that he now carries the heart of her sister. Terry jumps in and crosses lines with the LAPD and investigates the shooting. He gets to identify two other robbery related killings with a similar pattern. Initially suspecting robbery he finds his guess going haywire as the plot unwinds. He finds that the victims were not due to random killings but the victims were carefully selected for a special reason. When the plot unwinds and truth hits him, it shocks the entire breath out of him as he finds the motive for the murders. This book should have been a hit atleast for the awesome suspense in the last 30 pages. Nevertheless I am happy for reading such a brilliant thriller. Now I should watch the movie and find out where the movie lost out. In case you want to know the ending, call me..:)
